The new TDS Nomad packs even more functionality into the most powerful and fullfeatured rugged handheld computer available. Start with an 806 MHz processor, 1 GB of Flash storage, a long-life battery and laser bar code scanner and color digital camera The Nomad also features a high-resolution, sunlight-visible VGA display that shows graphics and maps in crisp detail. And it's fully rugged and just as tough as our other handhelds which means the Nomad off ers a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) than consumer grade handhelds integrated wireless capabilities like GPS, 802.11g, and Bluetooth.

Built-in versatility

The Nomad makes it easy to collect, save and transmit data in the fi eld because it’s available with so many built-in capabilities. Compute your location with the integrated GPS receiver for navigation applications. Quickly track your assets with the integrated 1D laser bar code scanner. Or capture color images with the 2 megapixel digital camera for inspection, maintenance and repair applications. Plus, you can use the Nomad’s CompactFlash (CF) and Secure Digital (SDIO) slots4 to add even more devices.

Tough as all outdoors

Like all TDS rugged handhelds, the Nomad meets the rigorous MIL-STD-810F military
standard for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures. It also comes with an IP67 rating. That means the Nomad is completely sealed against dust, and it can survive immersion in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. TDS rugged handhelds have also proven their reliability in the field with thousands of real-world users.

Fast, bright and easy to use

Every Nomad comes with an 806 MHz Marvell PXA320 XScale processor, 128 MB RAM and a hot-swappable Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery that can work all day without a recharge. And thanks to real-world feedback from tens of thousands of users, the nextgeneration Ranger offers the latest technology and more features in two models: the economical 300X and the powerful 500X. The TDS Recon handheld from Tripod Data Systems adds new capabilities to help you do even more in the  eld. Available integrated Bluetooth and 802.11g wireless keep you connected. Versatile Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 software runs the applications you use most. Plus, the Recon o ers even more Flash memory: 128 MB on the Recon 200X and 256 MB on the Recon 400X.
