Biography of Garet Couch
Business Manager / Trainer & Consultant
Garet founded Wind Environmental Services, LLC in April, 2005 after working for several years in the water and wastewater industry. Garet is still very active in the water and wastewater industry. As well as working for Wind Environmental Garet is also the owner of a small water system south of St. Louis.
Garet has been actively working with several Native American tribal governments primarily with tribal environmental departments working with their GIS systems as well as doing some water quality work. Garet takes great interest working with the tribal governments being Native American himself.
Garet has worked with many different professions and organizations regarding GIS. Garet is an ESRI Authorized Instructor, authorized to teach Introduction to ArcGIS I. Garet has an extensive background performing GIS and mapping projects using GIS, GPS, and CAD software as well as traditional surveying equipment and techniques. Garet has completed numerous classes relating to survey technology and GIS. He has also worked in land surveying performing many different types of surveys.
Garet is "A" licensed in both Missouri and Oklahoma in drinking water treatment, He is also "D" licensed in both Missouri and Oklahoma in Wastewater, In addition he holds a "DSIII" drinking water distribution license in the state of Missouri. Garet is affiliated with the following organizations: Missouri Water & Wastewater Conference, Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors, Missouri Mappers Association, and the Illinois GIS association.
